“Right now people feel more stressed and anxious than ever. For the sake of our individual and collective health, it is critical that we are empowered to feel safe, calm, and resilient and claim our well-being."
Hello! I'm Sarah Song, founder of Love Your Limbic, and I'm so glad to meet you are here.
We are living in very stressful times and are stretched thin by the demands of the new work landscape, global pandemic, and just everyday life. If you are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted or have already reached burnout, you have come to the right place.
Your emotional balance, energy and productivity matter and make up so much of who you are. When our mental and physical well-being becomes overwhelmed with chronic stress, our natural reaction is to "push through the pain" so that we can meet the demands of our families, bosses, teams, and others. We often put ourselves last.
I created Love Your Limbic as an platform to empower people that when it comes to stress management, we must put ourselves first. It is the only way we can show up for others as awesome partners, spouses, parents, children, friends, bosses, employees, colleagues and more. By investing in yourself, you are always empowered.
I coach people integrating aspects of neuroscience, energy preservation, sensory engagement and mindfulness. When we understand how we think, feel and connect, we break the burnout cycle with self-compassionate techniques that build a stronger connection between head and heart, intellect and emotion, and science and soul. Love Your Limbic is designed for people who want to not only survive stress and burnout, but thrive.
"Managing stress symptoms only brought temporary relief. I was still powerless to the next episode of burnout."
If you are stressed, exhausted or burning out, I understand 100% how you feel. With science-based tools of neuroscience, sensory engagement, and mindfulness, I will teach you how to find balance, preserve energy, and re-connect to your inner wisdom for longterm results.
Prior to founding Love Your Limbic, I worked as a creative executive for 15 years for the largest Fortune 500 beauty corporations in the world. The work was exciting, fast-paced and took me around the world, literally. I loved my career and put a lot of energy into it. While being rewarded with accolades and promotions, I didn't realize yet how much damage I was doing to my overall well-being by not developing healthy habits to manage stress effectively.
I was already walking on a tightrope when I came face to face with a physical ailment and a personal trauma. This combination of all of these work and life stressors led me to my last epic episode of burnout, leaving me feeling completely exhausted, disconnected and disillusioned.
After my last burnout episode, I followed my nose, literally, and earned my certification in clinical aromatherapy. Paired with my BA in neuroscience from The University of Pennsylvania, I founded Love Your Limbic to bring my passion for well-being to help people with stress management, emotional balance and burnout prevention. Always curious and forever learning, I constantly study the latest research on topics within neuroscience, stress management, meditation, aromatherapy, productivity and workplace well-being.
And throughout my whole life, I have always been a science nerd at heart. I earned my B.A. in Neuroscience from The University of Pennsylvania, and it was at this time that my love for the incredible brain was cemented. I worked in a neuroscience lab studying the role of serotonin as well as the impact of chronic stress on animals. I have always been on a search to understand the “why” when it comes to behavior under stress.
I'm also a firm believer that our holistic well-being is guided by an innate wisdom that is deeply rooted within each of us. Sadly, when we are chronically stressed, this wise voice gets buried by all of the busyness and distractions. One of the fundamental ways to break the burnout cycle is to quiet the mind and find stillness so that you can reconnect to your inner wisdom.
